On Wednesday, April 9, former Beau Chene High School standout Mallory Pitre’s current college team, the Lamar Lady Cardinals, lost 3-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions.
The game took place at Lamar Softball Complex. This was their third matchup against the Lady Lions this season.
The Lady Cardinals’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. at Lamar Softball Complex against Tarleton State Texans.
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported an arrest following a controlled delivery involving several agencies. Joseph A Fontenot faces charges related to unregistered weapons after authorities executed a search at his residence.
These former North Acadiana area high school standouts will be competing during the week of Monday, March 2.
