Detectives from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office have made progress in the investigation of a theft that occurred at Butler’s Tree Service, which began on January 19, 2026.
Wilbur Francis Reed Jr., a resident of Ville Platte, Louisiana, was arrested on March 2, 2026, by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division took over a burglary case at Butler’s Tree Service after reviewing surveillance footage and launching an investigation.
