Steven Ryan Kordish, 36, of Pine Prairie, was arrested and booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail on March 11 after detectives determined he was responsible for opening and using an account without authorization. The investigation found that the account had been used at several businesses and was linked to contact information associated with Kordish.

Kordish faces one count of felony theft under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67. His bond has been set at $37,500.

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office are encouraging anyone with information about criminal activity to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 337-363-2161 or submit a tip through the agency’s website at www.evangelineparishsheriff.org. “Any person reporting information will remain anonymous,” said Guillory.

Authorities remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
