Opelousas School of Cosmetology enrolls eight undergrads

At Opelousas School of Cosmetology, 78 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 100 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The private for-profit school in Opelousas enrolled eight students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

80 percent of undergraduates are residents of Louisiana, and 20 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised of students who identify as Black or African American (63 percent) and white (38 percent).
