The St. Landry Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their First Annual Business Summit on April 27, 2022 at the Opelousas Civic Center located at 1638 Creswell Ln., in Opelousas. The event will last from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The First Annual Business Summit will celebrate the resilience of the community while also empowering business owners with knowledge that they can use to ensure future success. Business experts will speak throughout the event while local businesses and Chamber members advertise their businesses with decorated booths. It is the perfect opportunity to get to know the business leaders of the parish.
“The St. Landry Chamber of Commerce has, for its over 100 years of existence, been heavily invested in the health of businesses within the parish,” says president and CEO of the Chamber, Laina Brickley. “We will continue this tradition with this new event.”
The goal of this event is to foster an atmosphere of learning and motivation similar to a TED talk.
“We are hoping to have around 200 people attending,” Brickley continued. “In a perfect world, all of our members would take advantage of this opportunity. This is the post-COVID event we have all been waiting for. It really shows just how far we have come as a community.”
Chamber members will be able to set up their booths for free while non-members must pay a $100 fee. Sponsors who want to be a part of the health and wellness of businesses within St. Landry Parish can call the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce to learn how they can be involved.
Tickets to attend are $15 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members. Lunch and swag bags are included.
