Census Bureau: More women than men in Washington in 2020

Of the 860 people living in Washington in 2020, 52.9 percent (455) were women and 47.1 percent (405) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the North Acadiana News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 44. In the 65 and over age range, there were 59 females and 66 males.

An agency of the U.S. Federal Statistical System, the Census Bureau is responsible for compiling statistical facts about the American people, places and economy. Data for this story was compiled from the bureau's American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
