Of the 7,117 people living in Ville Platte in 2020, 48.8 percent (3,470) were women and 51.2 percent (3,647) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the North Acadiana News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 137. In the 65 and over age range, there were 658 females and 533 males.
