Giving Tuesday 2022

GivingTuesday is a global movement that was started in 2012 as a day to encourage people to do good. Since its inception, it has inspired hundreds of millions of people to give and collaborate all in the name of simply doing good. This year GivingTuesday will take place on November 29th and we are asking you to help us celebrate this global day of doing good by making a donation to the St. Landry Chamber Foundation.

The St. Landry Chamber Foundation, 501(c)3 organization, benefits the community through annual gifts from our partners and parish residents. These contributions provide scholarships to local high school seniors along with supporting community programs such as Youth Leadership Council, Jr. CEO Camp, and Leadership St. Landry.

The St. Landry Chamber Foundation is strongly committed to providing high-quality, affordable educational and leadership opportunities for the residents of St. Landry Parish and you can help make a positive difference in the lives of our local youth by supporting the St. Landry Chamber Foundation.

The funds allow us to provide college and trade school scholarships to graduating high school seniors and to provide educational and leadership opportunities to our elementary and high school students through our Jr. CEO Camp and Youth Leadership Council programs. Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting the youth of our parish.

· $25 can be used to provide start-up costs to a Jr. CEO student;

· $50 can provide camp materials for a Jr. CEO student;

· $100 can provide program materials to a Youth Leadership Council student;

· $250 can send a child to Jr. CEO Camp;

· $500 can provide a book or equipment scholarship to a local high school senior pursuing a college or technical degree;

· and $1,000 funds a tuition scholarship for a local high school senior perusing a college or technical degree.

This holiday giving season, we invite our friends and partners to support the future of St. Landry Parish whether it be by providing an opportunity to a local child by sending them to camp, supporting them in their drive to be leaders in our community, or helping them achieve their goal of furthering their education. When you make an investment in the youth of our parish you are making an investment in the future of our parish. Having the opportunity to work with the students in our programs this past year has shown me that we have an amazing pool of young talented leaders and with your help together we can ensure that the future of St. Landry Parish is bright.
