74.2% of Iberia Parish residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 70,518 citizens living in Iberia Parish in 2021, 74.2% were old enough to vote, equating to 52,345 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 25,507 were male, constituting 48.7%, and 26,838 were female, making up 51.3%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Iberia Parish during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 76.4%.
