There were 11,390 students enrolled in Iberia Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 4% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.7% of them were boys, and 49.3% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Iberia Parish School District students was white, with 44.9% of students identifying as white.

Iberia Parish School District covers approximately 23 schools within Iberia Parish, with its main office in New Iberia.

Among the 23 schools in Iberia Parish School District, New Iberia Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,349 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021-22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.

In 2022, there was roughly one teacher for every 18 students, compared to the national average of 1:16.
