Enrollment Analysis: Asian students comprised 0.4% of Evangeline Parish's student body in 2023-24 school year

There were 20 Asian students enrolled in Evangeline Parish schools in the 2023-24 school year, 17.6% more than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Evangeline Parish welcomed 5,004 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.4% of the student body to be the third least represented ethnicity in the parish.

Among the 11 schools within the parish, Ville Platte High School recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2023-24 school year, with a total of seven students.

Louisiana's educational performance is among the lowest in the nation, according to a WalletHub analysis. The state was ranked 47th overall, based on factors such as class size, student performance, funding, school safety, and teacher qualifications.
